walks, jogs or bike rides on River Ridge Road,
just a little over one mile of paved road and
then continuing on gravel road. Perfect for
families or couples to enjoy the beautiful
surroundings of the North Carolina
Mountains & Green Valley area.

Wildlife Viewing

Be on the lookout as you enter and exit
River Ridge facility. You may be lucky
enough to see deer, squirrel, turkey,
geese, grouse, and other various species of
birds. The abundant wildlife is sure to
please all, especially the kids. One day, as
we were taking photos at River Ridge we
even came upon a deer coming out of
an old barn, perhaps the dear's temporary home.

Christmas Tree Farm Viewing

As you explore the River Ridge facility you will pass a Christmas Tree Farm. Guests who have reserved
the River Overlook cabin will actually pass by the
tree farm on their way to their log cabin.
